Equate Petrochemical to Capture Carbon Dioxide From Facilities in 2012

Bloomberg reports that Equate Petrochemical Co., a venture between Petrochemical Industries Co. of Kuwait and Dow Chemical Co., plans to capture carbon dioxide from its existing facilities starting 2012. It will send the gas to Green Carbon Co. for industrial use. The company also plans an $11 million water recycling plant. Equate’s CO2 capture project will cost $65 million.
