Pepperl+Fuchs introduces VDM35 Series Laser Displacement Sensors. Available in 6m diffused and 30m retro-reflective modes, these distance measurement sensors offer fully scaleable 4-20mA analog outputs and dual discrete PNP switch points, along with simple push-button programming. Other features include an eye-safe Class 1 infrared laser for sensing, a built-in Class 2 visible red laser for alignment and a 5-pin M12 x 1 micro connector. VDM sensors provide an analog output (4-20mA) proportionate to how close or far an object or reflector is from the sensor, which makes them an ideal solution for most types of measurement and inspection applications. VDM sensors monitor and measure the distance between products to keep equal spacing and positioning, making them well suited for use in automotive manufacturing. Because they provide a continual analog output, VDM sensors are also an ideal solution for monitoring the position of elevator cars, and positioning the elevator at the correct point on each floor.
