According to Reuters, Archer Daniels Midland Co., the largest U.S. oilseed processor, plans to expand production capacity at four of its U.S. soybean processing plants by September 2005, the company said. The plant locations are Mankato, Minnesota; Des Moines, Iowa; Lincoln, Nebraska; and Enderlin, North Dakota. The shift could include physical expansions at some of the four plants. The company had no immediate plans to close other facilities. ADM shut a soy processing plant in Kansas City one year ago and an oilseed facility in Leer, Germany, in February.
