Eriez® Tramp Iron Grate in Housings (TGH) incorporate Erium™ Ceramic, Rare Earth or Xtreme Rare Earth magnet material to remove ferrous contaminants from free flowing products as it cascades through rows of magnetic grates within a custom-manufactured housing. Eriez offers standard grate housings, but can customize a design to fit specific installation requirements.Typical TGH units include a stainless steel rectangular housing that holds multiple rows of powerful one-inch diameter tube magnets to attract and hold fine ferrous contamination as material flows around the magnets. A wide array of optional features, including adapters, sanitary finishes, additional magnet rows and more, are available to meet customers’ unique application needs. The Eriez TGH units allow trouble-free installation in small or irregularly-shaped applications. Plus, cleaning the magnets is fast and easy. Users can easily access grate rows through hinged doors where individual rows are quickly taken out for manual removal of accumulated tramp metal.
