HAMMOND, Ind. — Former employees of the Gary, Ind. Sanitary District wastewater plant are on trial this week facing allegations they tampered with wastewater-monitoring samples, Gary News reported.
The indictment accuses United Water Services Inc., and former contract operator Dwain Bowie and staff member Gregory Ciaccio of adding extra chlorine before wastewater samples were taken.
