RIO DELL, Calif. — Construction has begun on a new $12.8 million wastewater facility in Rio Dell, Calif., the Times-Standard reported.
The new plant, which will be completed in 17 months, will help the city avoid discharges into the Eel River and enable it to effectively treat wastewater.
The water board granted the city a $6 million grant and a 30 year loan, which will be paid back through increased sewer rates.
