Aerodyne®, a division of Abanaki Corporation, announces its new High Temperature Vacu-Valve®. This Trickle Valve System is equipped with a replaceable Silicone duck bill sleeve that can operate in temperatures of up to 500 F. The Vacu-Valve is available in two designs, the open construction of the Platypus and the closed construction of the Armadillo. The replaceable sleeves are chemical- and caustic-resistant as well as abrasive-resistant. It is available in both carbon steel and stainless steel. Both the Vacu-Valve Platypus and Armadillo are cost-effective solutions to rotary valves for particular applications. These trickle valve systems operate as constant discharge valves for dust collectors, hoppers, cyclones and other equipment operating under negative pressure. Their unique duck-bill designs allow for dispensing dry free-flowing material continuously and, unlike rotary valves, have no moving parts to maintain. The low-maintenance Vacu-Valve requires no lubrication, controls, or power supply; whereas rotary valves require a power driven motor. The Vacu-Valve is ideal for "keep empty" dust collection units.
