Blackmer®, a global leader in positive displacement and centrifugal pump, and reciprocating compressor technologies, is pleased to announce that it has upgraded the LGL150 Series Sliding Vane Pump models to a “C” version. Several changes and improvements have been incorporated into the “C” version models. In addition to the ANSI-style flange, Blackmer now offers a square 4-bolt flange similar to the flanges used on many other models of Blackmer pumps. The flange-style change was made after consultation with a number of Blackmer distributors and end-users, who suggested the reconfiguration to a flange style that would ease and simplify LGL150 pump installation.
The 4-bolt flange design allows for the use of multiple sizes and types of flanges – 1.25”, 1.5” and 2” in both NPT and weld flanges. The pump’s relief valve has also been repositioned to create adequate space for inlet and discharge pressure gauges to be installed without using extensions. Additionally, the mounting “foot” on the pump-casing has been removed to lighten the pump and avoid the confusion of trying to use the pump mounting foot for installation. Blackmer has designed a new C-face motor adapter/bracket that makes it easier to bolt an LGL150 Series pump into the existing footprint of competitive models when using the optional mounting adaptor/riser. The LGL150 pumps would be essentially a drop-in replacement for competing brands of regenerative turbine pumps.
