The Associated Press is reporting that industrial chemical maker Celanese Corp. said recently it will raise prices by 50 euro ($77.50) per ton of all emulsions, or mixtures of two unblendable substances, sold in Europe.
The price increases will apply to all vinyl- and acrylic-based emulsions and take effect for shipments on or after July 1, or as contracts allow.
Celanese emulsions are used in adhesives, coatings, engineered fabrics, glass fibers, paper and textiles.
