Chemical producer Celanese Corp. set goals for safety and environmental progress over the next five years, the Associated Press reports. The company said the 5-year goals included reductions of 20 percent in energy used per metric ton of production, a similar reduction in greenhouse gases, and a 25 percent cut in waste. Chairman and CEO David Weidman said the company was on course to meet its 2010 sustainability goals.
