Chevron Mulls New Floating LNG Plant in Australia

Bloomberg reports, Chevron Corp. is considering a new floating liquefied natural gas plant, worth several billion dollars, to develop offshore discoveries in the Exmouth Plateau in Western Australia, the Australian newspaper reported, citing Jim Blackwell, head of the company’s Asia-Pacific exploration and production. The discoveries in the plateau are half owned by Royal Dutch Shell Plc., the newspaper said.
