Death toll in multistate Listeriosis outbreak up to 14

WASHINGTON — According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the death toll from the recent outbreak of Listeriosis has climbed to 13, with deaths being reported in Colorado, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.

The outbreak has been traced to cantaloupes from Jensen Farms in Granada, Colo.

Jensen Frams issued a voluntary recall of its Rocky Ford-brand cantaloupes on Sept. 14 after they were linked to the multistate outbreak.
