Dow Corning plans to spend $13 million to expand its Europe-based research and development work on silicon-based technology, according to the Associated Press. Dow Corning will build two new buildings at its business and technology center on Seneffe, Belgium. One will be used for work on silicon-based materials while the other will be used to develop technology for use in photovoltaic cells. Construction will begin later this year.
