SOUTH KENNER, La. — Explosives maker Dyno Nobel International will spend $30 million to study whether it should build an $800 million ammonia manufacturing plant in South Kenner, La., NOLA.com reported.
The plant would begin production in the fall of 2015 and create 60 new jobs and an additional 440 indirect jobs.
"Ultimately, we believe this will lead to an $800 million investment right here," Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal said at a press conference.
