NEW ORLEANS — In a court filing Monday, BP accused Halliburton of intentionally destroying damaging evidence about possible problems with the cement slurry that was poured into the deep-sea Macondo well, which blew out last year and caused the worst oil spill in U.S. history, Fox News reported.
BP also accused Halliburton of failing to produce incriminating computer modeling evidence, the article stated.
BP asked U.S. District Judge Carl Barbier to penalize Halliburton and order a court-sponsored computer forensic team to recover the missing modeling results, according to the story.
