According to Market Watch, Heinz, the Pittsburgh foods giant, recalled 40,000 cases of Boston Market lasagna with meat sauce because the product contained meat that was recalled by Hallmark/Westland Meat Packing Co., The Wall Street Journal reported recently.
Hallmark/Westland, of Chino, Calif., recalled 143 million pounds of beef after a video from the Humane Society of the U.S. showed sick or injured cattle being improperly put into meat processing. The move is testing foods producers'' ability to collect data and to trace the origin of the contents of its foods, the Journal reported.
