Turck introduces a line of highly reliable and easy to program temperature sensors. The TS400 and TS500 temperature sensors incorporate a multitude of design features that make the sensors suitable for nearly all factory and process automation applications. The temperature sensors are platinum resistance temperature detectors (RTDs), a technology commonly referred to as Pt-100. Pt-100 technology is known for its precision, repeatability and ability to provide incredibly fast response times. The sensors may be mounted directly or remotely, and sense a temperature range of -50 to 500 degrees C (-50 to 932 degrees F). Several process connections are available with the sensors, including compression fittings, thermowells and tri-clamp fittings. The sensors are available with two switch points, an analog current output with one switch point, and an analog voltage output with one switch point. The sensor’s multiple outputs are programmed via pushbuttons, and do not require regular maintenance calibration. A recessed “enter” key helps prevent unintentionally altering stored values. The sensor’s compact design allows it to be mounted directly next to other sensors or in space restrictive places.
