Illinois Tool Works recently acquired Permatex, Inc., a producer of sealants, adhesives and other products for the worldwide automotive aftermarket and the industrial maintenance and repair market. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. ITW Performance Plastics manufactures and sells adhesives and sealants for original equipment manufacturing as well as for maintenance and repair.
