HA NOI, Vietnam — Shin-Etsu Chemical, Japan’s largest chemical company, announced it will spend $64 million to establish two plants in Vietnam to produce silicone-based materials and refine rare earths, VietNam News reported.
The project includes the construction of a factory that will manufacture silicone-based materials for LED lights, the article stated.
The Tokyo-based company has manufacturing bases in 14 countries around the world.
