Japanese Food Producer Nippon Shokken Plans California Plant

Bizjournals reports, Japanese food producer Nippon Shokken has purchased ten acres in West Sacramento, Calif., to build a $16 million headquarters that will employ about 100 people, the company announced. Nippon Shokken USA Inc. plans to produce seasonings, sauces and batter mix for tempura at the plant. The new plant would serve as a head office, sales office and an R & D facility. Nippon Shokken expects construction to begin in December.
