Kayem buys some brands from Tyson Foods

Kayem Foods Inc., a meat processor, said recently it agreed to acquire some brands from Tyson Foods Inc., the world''s largest meat producer, the Associated Press is reporting.

Kayem will buy New England brands Jordan''s, Deutschmacher, Kirschner, Essem, Tasty Bite and Williams of Vermont brands from Tyson.

Financial terms were undisclosed.

Privately held Kayem makes the Kayem and Old Tyme Natural Casing brands of franks sold in New England.
