KEY LARGO, Fla. — The former chief financial officer of Florida’s Key Largo Wastewater Treatment District was arrested last week and charged with hacking the district’s computer system, The Miami Herald reported.
Sal Zappulla was arrested on 13 counts of computer crime with intent to defraud, a second-degree felony, seven counts of modifying information without authority, which is a third-degree felony, and one count of deleting information from the wastewater treatment district’s computer system, which is also a third-degree felony.
He is also facing nine misdemeanor attempted conspiracy counts.
