Latching Drum Lid for Flammable, Combustible Solids

The PIG® Latching Drum Lid with FM-Approved Fusible Plugs is designed for converting 55-gallon steel drum into a safe storage container for oil- or solvent- soaked materials. The PIG® Latching Drum easily attaches to new or reconditioned drums and its FM-approved plugs make it ideal for use with flammable or combustible solids. The latching lid satisfies NFPA 30 venting requirements. FM-Approved nylon plugs with Buna-N seals melt to vent pressure and prevent drums from bursting in case of a fire. A Nitrile gasket and locking mechanism completely seals the Drum Lid to help reduce vapor emissions, and a removable hinge lets workers remove the lid without loosening the band around the drum.
