TEHRAN, Iran — An explosion on an Iranian oil rig killed one worker and injured three others Friday, The Associated Press reported.

The Bib Hakimeh oil rig, located about 500 miles south of Tehran, exploded after workers reached a layer of trapped gas in the field.

The field has been in operation since 1962, producing 120,000 barrels of crude a day, the article stated.
