NEW YORK — Pfizer Inc. is seeking unspecified damages in a patent infringement lawsuit against a unit of Johnson & Johnson over pain-relieving heat-patch technology, Bloomberg reported.
Fort Washington, Penn.-based McNeil-PPC has been ordered to halt sales of its Precise brand patch, according to a complaint filed in federal court in Delaware Monday.
“McNeil was aware of the patent” because its number “is clearly marked on the packaging of Thermacare, Pfizer''s competing heat-wrap product,” Pfizer lawyers allege.
