An overnight fire on a Turkish section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline halted the flow of oil, the Associated Press reported Wednesday. The fire, on a section of the pipeline in Refahiye in Erzincan province, was brought under control, but had not yet been fully extinguished, the AP reported citing a spokesman for pipeline shareholder British Petroleum. The fire forced workers to shut down two valves along the pipeline as a precaution, causing the disruption of the flow of all oil being transported to Ceyhan terminal from the east, according to the AP.
