Abrasion-resistant PVDF Tubing

January 15, 2013

Parker-Hannifin-pvdf-tubingParker Hannifin, a global leader in motion and control technologies, extrudes PVDF tubing in a Flex® and SuperFlex® design for critical applications where abrasion and/or permeation is typically a problem. PVDF is an engineered fluoropolymer designed with enhanced durometer properties (Shore D hardness of D75-D85). PVDF also exhibits low extractable levels, while providing high mechanical strength and good resistance to many chemicals and solvents.  Because of the low permeability and the increased durometer, PVDF is often used in applications requiring the highest purity, strength and resistance to solvents. It is also very flexible and has a 94-VO rating, hence it does not promote flame spread and resists combustion. The PVDF SuperFlex design offer 10x the flexibility of the standard Flex tubing. Standard product sizes range from 1/8-inch up to 1-inch O.D. and are available from the Parflex Division’s Texloc product line.
