Innovate, explore and be inspired
By Clay Stevens, President, Internationl Exposition Co.
Many years ago when I was a young engineer just out of college, I realized that what I learned in school was just a fraction of what I would need to know to succeed in the “real world.” I discovered that every project presents its own unique set of challenges and I learned that new technology was constantly presenting new solutions. I also began to worry about how I would stay abreast of these ever-changing trends and technologies.
Fortunately, I was aware of one of the best educational resources available to professionals of any age: the industry’s leading trade show. I learned that I could participate in educational sessions that focused on real-world challenges, compare a variety of innovative equipment solutions on display from hundreds of the leading manufacturers from around the world, network and share experiences with more experienced engineers, and even gain CEU credits to further my career. Best of all, I could do all of this under one roof in just one or two days.
And although technology has changed dramatically since those days, the value of trade shows is more beneficial than ever. All of us are constantly looking for better ways of doing things — to be more efficient, increase productivity and reduce costs.
That’s why attending the 2013 CHEM SHOW is so important to processing professionals who want to stay at the cutting-edge of the latest developments. Where else can you:
• Discover such a variety of innovative solutions to specific processing
• Gain in-depth knowledge of processing applications in educational
• See hundreds of new products from over 300 leading companies
• Learn about new technology in the New Product Theater
• Network with other processing professionals
And although the CHEM SHOW will be celebrating its 98th Anniversary in New York this Dec. 10-12, we have created a dynamic and newly energized event that will feature the largest gathering of processing manufacturers/exhibitors in North America and a comprehensive educational conference. The AIChE Northeast Manufacturing Conference is designed to address such core concerns as energy-savings, efficiency, environmental issues and safety as well as offer tutorials on specific process applications.
The timing couldn’t be better for a visit to the CPI’s leading event in North America. With strong industry growth predicted, exhibitors at the CHEM SHOW will be introducing new products to meet the rising demand for innovative process solutions. Advance registration for the coming CHEM SHOW is considerably up from the last event in 2011, which is no surprise, considering the CPI’s bright future.
I have had the privilege of managing the CHEM SHOW for many years and have spoken with countless processing professionals about the value they receive from attending the event. The two words that keep coming up in these conversations are “innovation” and “inspiration.” Attendees of all ages and experience levels constantly tell me how they have discovered innovative new solutions and came away inspired from what they saw and learned.
So although there have been many changes in the processing industries since I was a young engineer, there is still no substitute for seeing the latest products and equipment, discovering new ideas and working together through problems — firsthand and face-to-face.
So please come and experience the CHEM SHOW first-hand — and explore, innovate and get inspired!
You can register online free-of-charge at www.chemshow.com. I look forward to seeing you this December at the Show.
Widely recognized as the #1 North American event covering all Chemical Process Industries (CPI), the CHEM SHOW is where professionals involved in the processing of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, foods and other process industries come to find solutions to their process applications.
