Aramco selects KBR for chemical plant

The Associated Press reports that Saudi Arabian oil giant Aramco and The Dow Chemical Co. have awarded KBR Inc. a contract to manage the construction of a chemicals and plastics production complex in Ras Tanura. The companies did not say by when the complex would be built or how much KBR''s contract was worth. Oil experts estimated that the management, engineering and design contracts are together worth several hundred millions dollars. Aramco is one of world''s biggest oil companies and a leader in oil and gas production and distribution from Saudi Arabia.
