Bloomberg reports that Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. LLC began maintenance on an ethylene unit at its Cedar Bayou chemical plant in Baytown, Texas, according to a filing with state regulators. Flaring associated with the work started today at 8 a.m. local time and is expected to last three days, the company said in a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Chevron Phillips is based in The Woodlands, Texas.
