Cost-effective valve offers solutions for process control applications

February 2, 2009

The three-way, normally-closed, direct-acting valve complements the manufacturer’s existing range of process control valves. Specifically, the valve’s design initiates air actuation in process and industrial control applications. Easy to install, the new valve line screws directly into the piston or diaphragm actuator of the company’s family of angle seat valves. The input pressure port uses 1/8” NPT threads. A bolt affords direct mounting in any position without the use of supplementary fittings. The valve’s standard locking manual override allows manual operation during set-up and system control in case of power failure. The valve is offered standard with a freely rotatable DIN plug and NEMA 4 cable gland connector. It is available as a modular design or fully assembled with a variety of coil styles. Both AC and DC voltage compatible, the valve offers 4.5 to 5.0 watt coils, depending on the application’s voltage needs. With a life expectancy of up to 5 million cycles, the line can withstand a fluid temperature range of 0 degrees – 185 degrees F and an ambient temperature of 14 degrees – 122 degrees F.
