Dow Corning builds new India plant

Dow Corning Corp., a venture owned equally by Dow Chemical Co. and Corning Inc., said it is building a new manufacturing plant in India to help meet the region''s fast-growing demand for silicon products, according to the Associated Press. The plant, located in Pune, India, will make products such as polymerpoly, lubricants and sealant for the Indian and Asian markets. The site will also include an engineering laboratory where both the company and its customers can design new products.
