Drum Filling Station Handles Different Container Types
June 7, 2010
The user-programmable drum filling station accommodates different containers and filling processes including non-hazardous and hazardous products. The single drum filling station features a leak-proof, hydrostatically balanced filling valve, intrinsically safe pneumatic linear drive, and quick-disconnect lance assembly. Accommodating a wide range of container types, the controller has up to ten screens that can be programmed to change with each fill process, and provides legal-for-trade weighing. Easily integrated into existing computer networks, the unit’s controller communicates with PCs, scanners, and other peripheral devices. User-customizable to match a variety of requirements, the controller prompts the operator through each step in the filling process and a single station can fill up to 60 55-gallon drums per hour, according to the manufacturer.
