February 11, 2010
DuPont executive vice president James Borel said Wednesday sales in the company''s agriculture and nutrition segment are expected to grow 10 percent in 2010, according to the Associated Press. At the Goldman Sachs 14th annual Agricultural Biotech Forum, Borel also said DuPont anticipates an increase in pretax operating margins across its seed, crop protection and nutrition and health businesses. Additionally, Borel said orders are running ahead of last year''s pace. He said the segment is on track to deliver 15 percent compounded annual pretax earnings growth between 2007 and 2012, led by increases in DuPont''s North American corn and soybean businesses and new crop protection products.
