Eastman Chemical fined $98,000 by EPA
The Environmental Protection Agency has fined Eastman Chemical Co. $98,000 for failing to submit reports about releases of toxic chemicals at a Southern California plant, the Associated Press reports. Kingsport, Tenn.-based Eastman, which has since sold the Lynwood, Calif. print resin plant, voluntarily disclosed the violation to the EPA, the EPA.
