Eastman Chemical sells plants to ALFA

Mexican industrial company ALFA SAB de CV said it''s buying polymer production facilities in Mexico and Argentina from coatings and adhesives maker Eastman Chemical Co., the Associated Press reports. Financial terms of the deal weren''t disclosed. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter. The sale includes Eastman''s facilities in Cosoleacaque, Mexico, and Zarate, Argentina. Their production capacity is 150,000 and 185,000 metric tons per year, respectively.
