Eastman Restarting Hydrocarbon-Cracking Plant

Bloomberg reports that Eastman Chemical Co. is restarting hydrocarbon-cracking plant 3 at its complex in Longview, Texas. Emissions associated with the restart began recently and were expected to be over by Dec. 15 at the same time. The Longview chemical complex uses 55,000 barrels a day of propane and ethane as feedstocks to make 40 chemical products. Longview is 126 miles east of Dallas.
