Easy-to-install, abrasion-resistant compression packing

June 5, 2006

Garlock Sealing Technologies has launched Garlock Style 1965 Compression Packing, which combines abrasion resistance with a high degree of flexibility and easy handling. Style 1965 is designed to be easy to cut, easy to form into rings, and easy to install. Customers can reduce storeroom inventory and enjoy better cash flow management because the packing can be used in a wide variety of environments, including general service, mining, pulp and paper, and water and wastewater applications. Because of its high degree of thermal stability, the unit requires less flush water, conserving a valuable natural resource and reducing customers’ energy expenses. The packing protects rotating equipment’s critical components from abrasive media, which reduces maintenance expenditures. It is also shock-resistant—withstanding cavitations, pressure surges, and other system disruptions. There’s also no contamination, keeping end products and pump areas clean.
