Eccentric disc pump for low-flow transfer, dosing applications
Blackmer recently debuted its new Micro C-Series Eccentric Disc pump line, giving the company a complete range of eccentric disc pumps from 0.03 to 158.5 gallons per minute (0.1 to 600 liters per minute). The new Micro C-Series pump was designed for transferring and dosing additives in continuous processing applications and is available in three new models: MC125 with a flow rate of 0.03 gpm (0.1 lpm) to 0.6 gpm (2.1 lpm) at 217.5 psi (15 bar) maximum pressure; MC250 with a flow rate of 0.05 gpm (0.2 lpm) to 1.1 gpm (4.2 lpm) at 145 psi (10 bar) maximum pressure; and MC500 with a flow rate of 0.1 gpm (0.4 lpm) to 2.2 gpm (8.3 lpm) at 72.5 (5 bar) maximum pressure. The new pump is ideal for handling thin, abrasive, aggressive and higher viscosity fluids due to its low contact piston speed and direct contact between the piston and cylinder. The Micro C has dry running capabilities for self-priming with strong suction lift and is also designed to be flushed and cleaned in place (CIP). With its stainless steel construction and gentle, low-shear handling of fluids, the Micro C pump is ideal for numerous chemical process and metering applications. It also features seal-less technology (no mechanical seals) for zero leakage and maintains consistent delivery and pressure over long periods of time. Due to its small design, the Micro C is easily integrated into many applications. The pump measures only 9.5 inches in length and 5.4 inches in height (242 mm in length and 138 mm in height).
