Fluid Sealing Association to honor environmental champions at Chem Show

The Fluid Sealing Association (FSA) will announce the winners of its 2005 Awards Contest for Excellence in Environmental Protection this fall. The 2005 Awards Contest will showcase manufacturers at the CHEM SHOW 2005 in New York City that have made the most significant environmental impact through new product innovations. The awards are presented for achieving excellence through leakage reduction, mastering compliance with EPA fugitive emission standards, and/or achieving lower water usage and power consumption.

Past new product innovation award-winners include:

Grand Champion Award - The team of JM Clipper and Rohm & Haas company, manufacturers of reactor vessel gasket technology responsible for saving 16.5 million pounds of chemical production and over $1 million dollars annually.

Grand Champion Runner-Up - A.W. Chesterson & Kinder Morgan, Delta Terminal, manufacturers of “Smart Seal Technology,” which significantly controls manufacturing equipment emissions to the atmosphere.
