Industrial Heating Video Monitoring

August 27, 2012

Marshall Electronics has introduced a process monitoring solution for high-temperature environments. Marshall’s Hi Temperature Zoom Pinhole Lenses and VS-5310 1.3 MP C/CS Day/Night IP Camera enable real time monitoring, recording and playback of processes involving extreme heat and harsh conditions. The VS-5310 IP Camera’s C/CS mount is compatible with any of Marshall’s four High Temperature Zoom Pinhole Lenses: V-ZPL-HITEMP-A, V-ZPL-HITEMP-A-323, V-ZPL-HITEMP-B and V-ZPL-HITEMP-B-323. Any of these lenses paired with the VS-5310 camera can be used to monitor the conditions inside kilns, incinerators and furnaces used in metal fabrication, waste incineration, heat treatment, glass and ceramic manufacturing. The V-ZPL-HITEMP pinhole lens series feature stainless steel housing and high temperature operation at 1,000 C for up to 10 minutes. Sapphire and quartz front elements provide optical clarity and withstand extreme heat, scatter sand and gravel impact. The 323mm lenses are designed for environments where observation windows are structurally recessed. The VS-5310 camera captures video that can be streamed via a built-in H.264 and H.264 MJPEG encoder over the Internet to one or multiple monitors and viewed in high resolution at 1280 x 960 @ 22.5fps or 1280 x 720 @ 30fps. The camera features low power consumption and has built-in POE (Power Over Ethernet) or an optional AC power adapter. SD card recording allows further analysis of processes for quality control purposes
