ISA EXPO 2005 announces wireless security forum
Peter Fuhr, Chief Technology Officer for Apprion, will moderate a wireless security forum on October 26 at ISA EXPO 2005 in Chicago, Illinois. The forum, entitled "Is It Secure? Security Aspects of Hybrid Wireless and Wired Deployments in Industrial Settings" is the second in a three-part forum series to be presented at the annual trade show. This particular forum will concentrate on wireless sensor networks and the questions and concerns that arise as they become deployed and integrated into legacy networks in industrial settings. The forum will focus on the common result of using wireless in certain industrial settings — a hybrid wired+wireless industrial bus network. The session will offer brief presentations by the panelists followed by an extensive question and answer session where attendees will hear about their experiences and be able to ask questions. Panelists will include Harry Forbes, ARC Analyst; Jose Gutierez, Eaton, Director of Technology Embedded Systems; Bob Karschina, Emerson Process Management, Director of Technology; Kang Lee, National Institutes for Science and Technology, Leader, Sensor Development & Application Group, Manufacturing Metrology Division, Manufacturing Engineering Laboratory; Anoop Mathur, Honeywell, Director of Wireless Technologies and Embedded Controls; Wayne Manges, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Director, Oak Ridge Center for Manufacturing Technology; and Hesh Kagan, Invensys, Director Business Development.
