MSP 2-Stage Pump
January 15, 2004
Energy-saving medium-speed pump (MSP) for pumping fluids for high-pressure applications was released in October 2003. The pump complements a single-stage model and is targeted to the petrochemical market, as well as small industrial boiler feed service. Directly coupled to an AC motor, the pump is driven by a variable frequency drive (VFD). Operating at speeds up to 8,000 rpm, the MSP develops a differential head of 600 meters as single-stage and 900 meters as two-stage version. The MSP-2 features an opposed impeller design which limits hydraulic forces so standard grease lubricated bearings for the motor can be used.
