Nigeria''s Beniboye Fire Output Loss 5,000 Bpd

According to Reuters, Nigeria''s Beniboye flow station has been losing 5,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd) due to a fire that broke out over the weekend after sabotage, Italian oil and gas group Eni, whose unit operates the plants, said recently.

Eni said its share of lost production amounts to 1,000 bpd. Eni''s Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) operates the plants in the area of Beniboye in Nigeria''s Delta State.

Eni said no injuries have been reported.

A spokesman for the military team in charge of security in the area said it was not an attack.
