North Texas mayors back permanent water restriction measure

April 10, 2012

DALLAS — The mayors of Arlington, Dallas, Forth Worth and Irving, Texas, are supporting a measure that would place permanent water restrictions on their communities, KDAF reported.

The measure would put a twice per week watering schedule in place.

"When you''re in a drought, the water isn''t there to use and so with water conservation, you learn to use that water more efficiently. It''s a situation of learning how to use water efficiently when you have time as opposed to when it isn''t there," said Yvonne Dupre with Dallas Water Utilities.
