One dead, one hospitalized after chemical exposure at paint plant

FULLERTON, Calif. — One man died and another remains hospitalized after being exposed to chemicals at a paint-manufacturing plant in Fullerton, Calif., on Tuesday, The Orange County Register reported.

The men were overcome by fumes while working inside a tank.

One man was pronounced dead at the hospital and the second is in critical condition.

"It''s a real tragedy when there are situations like this where it is a confined space," said Cal/OSHA spokeswoman Erika Monterroza.
