Pfizer enters into generic drug pact

According to the Associated Press,
Pfizer will sell 40 generic drugs manufactured by an Indian company. The
financial terms of the deal between Pfizer and Strides Arcolab were not
disclosed, but the companies said Pfizer will sell injectable and oral drugs,
many of which are treatments for cancer. The drugs are made by Strides Arcolab
and two joint ventures between that company and Aspen Pharma of South Africa. Strides
Arcolab is based in Bangalore, India. Pfizer will sell the products through its
established products business unit.
