Pfizer Will Try to Sell Plants
May 19, 2010
Pfizer Inc. said Tuesday that as part of its planned downsizing it will try to sell some of its plants rather than close them out-right, according to MarketWatch. Earlier Tuesday, Pfizer said it was planning to either cease or scale-back operations at several manufacturing facilities around the globe. The move could result in the elimination of approximately 6,000 jobs. Pfizer had about 113,800 employees at the end of the first-quarter.
