Private equity firm to acquire Dean Foods dairy plant

LOS ANGELES — Global private equity firm OpenGate Capital has announced plans to acquire a Wisconsin dairy processing plant from Dean Foods Co., according to a press release.

OpenGate will acquire the Golden Guernsey and La Vaca Bonita brands as part of the transaction.

The business manufactures, bottles and distributes its dairy products to schools, grocery stores, convenience stores and major retailers in Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin.
