Pumpheads for chemical injection applications in industrial wastewater applications

May 26, 2009

The rugged 520RE peristaltic pump is designed for chemical injection applications in the industrial wastewater market. The combination of the tube elements and pumphead design allows the 520RE to be utilized in applications requiring accurate metering, dosing and transferring of harsh chemicals, including sodium hypochlorite, ferric chloride, sodium bisulfite, fluoride, carbon and lime slurries, polymers, aqueous ammonia, potassium permanganate and caustic slurries in the industrial wastewater market. Municipal and environmental process users now have the functionality and reliability of the best-selling 520 metering pumps with expanded pressure capability. The 520 Series pumps with patented LoadSure® elements offers flows from 55 GPH at 30 psi to 7 GPH at 100 psi. The 520 Series pumps and LoadSure elements guarantee correct loading every time, as well as easy one-minute maintenance with no snaking, twisting or pinching. Operator safety is ensured at all times by utilizing a shade guard, sealed to withhold any spillages at atmospheric pressure. Drain port plugs allow for easy removal of spilled fluid and an optional float switch leak detector will stop the pump automatically in such conditions. The pumps contain fluids within the tube at all times, never allowing the fluids to come into contact with the pump mechanism. Entrained gas is pumped with ease, plus corrosion and damage is restricted to the consumable tubing element. This helps provide predictable life costs for the pump, as the tube is the only part that will need replacing.
